Torashin Shotokan Karate Club

Training in Skelton is Tuesdays 7pm - 9pm (children and beginners may leave after 1 hour) for all ages 7 - 70+

We are a traditional shotokan karate club teaching high quality karate for health, personal discipline and self-defence.

Our senior instructor, Sensei Ian MacLaren (6th Dan), was amongst the first people in the UK to begin training in karate more than 50 years ago.

We are a not-for-profit club affiliated to the Karate Union of Great Britain (KUGB), which is also non-profit.

Sessions cost £3 for children/1 hour or £4 for adults/2 hours.
There is also a small annual charge for the KUGB licence, which covers insurance as well as access to gradings, competitions and courses.

We also train at Huntington Memorial Hall on Thursdays from 7.30pm
